For the business traveller, one can stay around the Baltimore -Washington International Airport, which is just 20 minutes from the city. These hotels around the airport would provide a free shuttle bus to the airport in order to make sure that you do not miss your flight. On the major highways, you can find some fine accommodation. Northwest of Baltimore one can drive through Carroll County. Also around here is the Carroll County Farm Museum. 20 minutes west of Baltimore is Howard County that also has some great guesthouses and hotels. Many tourists like to stay at Annapolis, which is very historic and is in the heart of the state capital. In Western Maryland, you can find a more rural setting with lots of different camping grounds that will give you a taste of the great outdoors. Fells Point is a great option, as it is one of Baltimore's historic districts. Just east of Inner Harbour is where the waterfront community is based. And all attractions around Baltimore are within a stone throw of Fells Point. There is a great maritime history to the area and some of the hotels in the area are very comfortable indeed, with great views of the harbour. |
